About Our Class

Our 2007 class was the first to graduate from Rosemont High School in Sacramento, CA. Rosemont filled a long awaited need for a high school for the area when it opened its doors in 2003 to our class of about 300 freshman. We spent our first year in portable classrooms out in the parking lot while the high school was being built behind us. With our principal, Rob Jones, and the dedicated teachers and staff joining us, we set out on an adventure. Our class’ small size and the uniqueness of our situation made us all come together and grow close through our four years at Rosemont. From the “trailer park” freshmen year to being the first graduating class at Rosemont High School, our situation was definitely unique.

 

 When we look back at those four years we remember how in our freshmen year we spent PE in the parking lot and most sports had to combine with other schools. We remember our sophomore year when they finally opened the doors to the completed school and everything was brand new. We weren’t alone anymore this year, we had a new class of freshman behind us, but we sometimes missed the closeness of the portables we had the year before.

 

Our Junior year was spent trying to establish traditions and pave the way for future classes to be more successful than the “guinea pig” class of 2007. Finally, our senior year came and it was all about senior projects, government classes, and which college we were going to attend. As we walked across the stage to receive our diplomas, not only did we look towards our future, but to the legacy we left at Rosemont as well. We knew that we had made a forever mark on Rosemont High School, and that Rosemont High School would always have a place in our hearts.

 

As we continue to meet for these school reunions lets look forward to keeping the closeness that we felt during those four years of high school. Thanks for being a part of Rosemont High School’s class of 2007, we look forward to the future years with you!
